Although Count Murmur's exact past remains a mystery to many, he has indeed come to being as the result of years of toil in the musical underground of American heavy metal. Count Murmur is a black/death metal composer with over 10 years of playing experience. His style has evolved over this span from thrash, to melodic death metal, to its current incarnation, which is sinister blackened death metal.
Although Count Murmur plays the bass with his fingers, he is known for his speed and ferocity. Bass playing style is unorthodox with an emphasis on diminished chords and dissonant minor scales. Count Murmur tunes his bass to B-flat standard as he is known to despise, so called, "drop" tunings.
Count Murmur's vocal style is in the vein of bands such as Mayhem and Old Man's Child. He also has the vocal ability to perform deep, "death grunt" style growls, such as those employed in bands such as Nile and Origin, and also to perform melodic singing techniques. He is able to switch between styles dynamically.
